Radiology solution provider Viztek, of Jacksonville, Fla., has introduced mobile imaging vehicles fully equipped with the Viztek Opal-RAD PACS and Kodak Point-of-Care CR.

Housed in Honda Element cars, the Viztek solution utilizes image compression technology that provides mobile imaging units the freedom to communicate data quickly and securely via wireless hotspots, cellular wireless cards and satellite connections.

In addition to supporting ultrasound, the vehicles feature Opal-MULTI-POINT, which includes on-board notebook computers that are pre-programmed with Viztek’s Acquire software. The software automatically pushes images to the radiology practice’s main Opal-RAD server.
