Diagnostic cardiology company Mortara Instrument, of Milwaukee, Wis., and imaging and information management firm ScImage, of Los Altos, Calif., have announced a collaboration built upon the DICOM ECG standard that will integrate Mortara DICOM ECG modalities with ScImage’s PicomEnterprise, the company’s enterprise wide PACS.

The partnership will enable Mortara ELI series electrocardiographs to communicate directly with the ScImage solution.  The DICOM-enabled ELI devices will communicate bi-directionally and attain a DICOM Modality Worklist (MWL) with patient demographics and order information from the ScImage PicomEnterprise PACS solution. 

The PicomEnterprise PACS solution will offer workflow management, reporting and storage of the DICOM ECG object with results reporting to the hospital information system. Clinicians and physicians can then view the ECG tests in context with other test results and images stored within the PicomEnterprise archive, including echo, cath, and vascular exams, nuclear cardiology and hemo-dynamic reporting.

Additionally, ScImage’s PicomEnterprise solution integrates with other DICOM ECG modalities, such as Mortara stress and Holter products.

The solutions are available with both the PicomEnterprise and PicomOnline solutions from ScImage.
