Molecular Imaging Research Inc (Ann Arbor, Mich), a contract research organization, recently announced it now will do business as MIR Preclinical Services. The company specializes in the preclinical evaluation of anti-tumor agents and noninvasively provides its clients with an integrated correlation of efficacy with pharmacodynamics directly applicable to clinical trial. "We feel the name change will better represent the services we provide to our target market of pharmaceutical and biotech companies," said Wilbur Leopold, PhD, company president.

Cogent Medical Systems Inc (Mt Laurel, NJ) will become RamSoft USA Inc, the US affiliate of RamSoft (Toronto), a PACS and teleradiology software provider. RamSoft USA will continue to expand direct and distribution sales of RamSoft. Paul J. Vilary, founder of Cogent Medical Systems, will head RamSoft USA's operation as the national sales director.
