Contrast Agent in 30-mL Size from Bracco

Now available in a 30-mL size is Gastrografin (diatrizoate meglumine and diatrizoate sodium solution) from Bracco Diagnostics Inc (Princeton, NJ). This lemon-flavored, water-soluble iodinated radiopaque contrast medium for oral or rectal administration is used for radiographic examination of segments of the gastrointestinal tract and as an adjunct to contrast enhancement in CT of the torso. By offering this new size, Bracco hopes to better accommodate various other imaging applications, including CT colonography.

The Xaminer series from Imaging Dynamics Co Ltd (IDC of Calgary, Alberta) is a line of CCD digital X-ray detectors designed for large, cost-sensitive markets that require high patient throughput of DR with competitive levels of image quality and dose efficiency. Radiographic View Boxes from Point A Technologies

Point A Technologies Inc (City of Industry, Calif) offers the Lumimed LD series of multipurpose radiographic view boxes. Featuring LCD backlight technology, the displays measure 1.5 inches thick to eliminate the necessity of cutting a hole in the wall to recess a conventional box. Other features include fine dimming controls and film-activated switches. Also, the view boxes are equipped with 16 external electrode fluorescent lamps in each bank to generate a luminance of 5,000 cs/m².
