CD/DVD Duplication and Printing System
Primera Technology, Inc. (Plymouth, Minn.)
Primera Technology has released its Bravo Disc Publisher, an automated CD duplicating and
printing system priced at less than $2,000. Bravo is designed for hands-free, automated
production of up to 25 CDs or DVDs per job. A robotic mechanism is used to transport discs
into the built-in 52x CD-R recorder or optional Pioneer combo DVD-R/CD-R recorder. After
recording, discs are transported to the integrated printer and printed in full color at up
to 2,400 dpi resolution. Bravo can be used for storage of medical images, including CT,
MRI and ultrasound. Bravo attaches to any PC running Windows 2000/XP through its built-in
FireWire (IEEE 1394) and USB interfaces and is equipped with Prassi PrimoDVD 2.0
duplication software. Bravo also attaches to any Mac running Apple OS X and uses Charismac
Engineering's Discribe V5.0 duplication software.

Flat Panel Display
Quest International (Irvine, Calif.)
Quest International is offering the Totoku CCL192MD color LCD medical monitor. Featuring a
19-inch LCD panel with 1.3 MP resolution, this monitor produces a maximum luminance of 450
cd/m - more than twice that of a standard color LCD - with a contrast ratio of
600:1. A 10-bit look up table for gamma correction guarantees that DICOM calibration is
achieved with minimum offset. The ultra-wide symmetrical viewing angles of 170 degrees in
horizontal and vertical directions assure the highest quality image whether this monitor
is operated in landscape or portrait orientation. The CCL192MD also features inputs for
analog (VGA), digital (DVI), and video (NTSC and PAL) making it flexible in its ability to

Recirculating Chillers
Lytron Inc. (Woburn, Mass.)
Lytron is now selling the Thermocube recirculating chillers manufactured by Solid State
Cooling Systems in the United States and Canada. The Thermocube is a compact, quiet
CFC-free recirculating chiller which uses thermoelectric modules to control ±0.15 degrees
Celsius the temperature of a fluid. These fluids are typically used to stabilize the
operating temperature of equipment such as digital x-ray plates. The Thermocube is
available in 300W and 400W capacities. At 12.75 inches by 11 inches, the Thermocube
footprint is up to 40 percent smaller than a low-capacity, compressor-based chiller.
