Kubtec, Fairfield, Conn, will introduce a touch screen-based specimen radiography system at the American Healthcare Radiology Administrators annual meeting in Denver July 27-31.

The XPERT 40, which is the only specimen radiography system available with up to an 8” by 8” digital detector and the only one with up to a 1 mA x-ray source, will now also use a touch screen interface. The 19” medical grade touch screen monitor is currently used for other medical imaging applications and will enhance the XPERT 40’s ease of use in the OR and in the biopsy suite.

Some of the other firsts the XPERT 40 possesses are the ability to send annotations to PACS and the ability to send multiple images to PACS with a single click. Further, the XPERT 40 also comes equipped with a number of user friendly features like AEC, auto calibration, automatic window leveling, and remote applications support through its HIPAA and DICOM compliant software.
