New Imaging Center Features the Region’s First 3T
Liberty Pacific Medical Imaging (LPMI) is bringing the latest in imaging technology to the residents of Castro Valley, Calif, near San Francisco.
Late last month, Castro Valley Advanced Medical Imaging opened the doors to its 7,500-square-foot facility, which boasts a range of technologies, including a Signa Excite 3T High-Definition MRI from GE Healthcare.
Other systems on-site are the GE 32-slice LightSpeed VCT scanner and a GE Digital 74 Kilowatt Silhouette x-ray unit.
A cardiovascular CT angiography (CVCTA) program also will be offered. CVCTA will provide high-resolution, in-depth cardiac studies as a way to analyze and reveal detailed information about heart function.
The center—which is designed specifically to maximize patient comfort and care with a welcoming, spa-like setting—will be managed by Katherine Snider.
Staff at Castro Valley Advanced Medical Imaging, including technologists and administrative members, are seasoned imaging professionals. The center also will partner with a local reading radiology group.
