Flushing Hospital Selects RadWhere

Radiologists at the Flushing Hospital Medical Center soon will have access to the RadWhere Suite from Commissure Inc. This software solution is comprised of individual products designed to enhance such areas as radiology-assisted diagnosis, speech reporting, ICD9 coding, enterprise teleradiology, quality assurance, and critical communication.

The facility will integrate RadWhere with its existing application, Vocada Veriphy (a critical test results management application) as part of a 5-year process to migrate to a new speech-reporting application.

With these two products working together, the system can track and report critical values or positive findings to referring physicians. Radiologists who discover a positive finding or something that needs to be communicated to the referring physician can do so immediately through the system. The number of times the referring physician was alerted and whether or not the physician returned the call is tracked as well.
