FDA Gives Nod to NovaRad Mammography Studies

The NovaPACS received clearance from the FDA for use in the reading and interpretation of mammography studies, according to an announcement made last week.

Manufactured by NovaRad Corp, NovaPACS makes use of the DICOM standard for the distribution and viewing of mammography studies, including window/level/zoom as well as volumetric measurements. NovaRad also provides the approved 5MP LCD monitors for reading. The system includes a full-feature viewer with intuitive interface and a 7-year on-site archive with off-site emergency back up.

NovaPACS is compatible with other solutions in the NovaRad line, including NovaRIS.
