VirtualScopics Lands Patent for Its Offerings

The innovation offered in its solutions can be used for both statistical and expert knowledge to measure a variety of abnormalities, from multiple sclerosis lesions to bone marrow edema, with extremely high precision.
The company expects the patent—Method and System for Automatic Identification and Quantification of Abnormal Anatomical Structures in Medical Images (US Patent Number 7,103,224)—will enable its customers to use smaller patient populations in their trials, enabling them to realize lower costs and accelerated time to market.
