New Technology from Siemens Medical Solutions Hits the Market
Siemens Medical Solutions closed out last year by rolling out some new technology.
First, the Axiom Artis dBA Twin is a biplane imaging system designed for universal angiography and neuroradiology. The system is equipped with two 30- x 40-cm flat detectors and provides fine detail resolution in both 2D and 3D.
The ergonomically designed, compact detector housing supports the latest cross-sectioning 3D imaging techniques with the optional syngo DynaCT cross-sectional imaging capability.
Siemens Medical also released a mobile x-ray unit with an integrated CR reader. The Mobilett XP CR offers a choice of cassettes so that users can readily image various anatomical regions, as well as pediatric and incubator situations.
The system's integrated CR reader boasts a reading capacity of 60 cassettes per hour, enabling it to serve as a centralized single plate CR reader for multiple rooms or ICUs, allowing CR budget sharing.
